1、本课程的主要特色及创新点
1、实践与考核互动，以实际案例和创新性激励机制带动学生学习积极性：考核方法改革与教研结合，大型项目模拟真实环境，“项目经费法”激发学生积极性，全面培养现代软件工程师需要的能力。
2、科研与教学互动，科研为教学及时补充前沿理论，教学为科研输送得力干将：最新科研成果促进教学，双语教学培养国际化人才，启发式教学锻炼创新能力，激励自主性学习。学生工作后以实战经验改进教学。
3、网络与现场学习互动，全方位满足学生即时沟通和个性化学习的需要：提供丰富网络资源，开放多种讨论渠道，提供自动测评习题库，为学生个性化学习提供良好支撑环境。
2、本课程与国内外同类课程相比所处的水平
本课程是20xx年浙江大学校级精品课程、20xx年教育部IBM精品课程、浙江大学优质课程。从80年代开始，经过20多年课程建设，各阶段均取得了丰富的成果，特色明显，在国内同类课程中位居领先。
1、一系列紧跟发展前沿的先进的教学改革在国内外产生了广泛的影响：
20xx年：课程组负责人陈越赴香港大学做《软件工程》课程教学经验交流，其一整套大型实验项目的设计与考核方案引起香港同行极大兴趣并赢得好评。
20xx年：课程组负责人陈越在教育部高等学校双语教学协作组召开的“理工科课程双语教学研讨会”上代表浙江大学做大会发言《双语教学实践与体会》，将包括软件工程教学在内的改革实践向全国同行推广。
20xx年：课程组负责人陈越出席机械工业出版社“课程设计丛书”专家指导委员会工作会议，在高校教师培训班上推荐Roger Pressman的这部经典教材并做《双语教学》讲座，进一步推广包括软件工程教学在内的教学经验。
20xx年课程组主讲教师们先后发表教学研究论文《软件学院中软件工程课程教学改革的的探索与实践》、《软件工程课程项目实践中激励机制的探索》、《“软件工程基础”课程教学改革中的三个互动》，进一步总结并推广“项目经费法”。 另外将包括“项目经费法”在内的一整套实践体系建设总结为实验指导教材《软件工程课程设计》，由浙江大学出版社出版。同时将浙江大学道富技术中心真实项目作为案例，编写教材《软件工程原理与实践》，将于20xx年由机械工业出版社出版。
20xx年：课程组负责人陈越成为20xx年教育部高等学校计算机科学与技术教学指导委员会软件工程专业教学指导分委员会委员。
课程组负责人陈越于20xx年7月教育部计算机科学与技术专业教学指导分委员会与机械工业出版社华章分社联合举办暑期教师研修班上主讲《软件工程》。
课程组负责人陈越于20xx年9月教育部高等学校软件工程专业教学指导分委员会、教育部软件学院建设办公室及高等教育出版社联合主办《全国高校软件工程专业教育年会》上做关于《软件工程》课程建设与教学方法改革的大会特邀报告，受到与会专家们的广泛认可，并因此受邀在北京工业大学就软件工程教学改革做报告，与兄弟院校进行交流。
为了更好地将《软件工程》的双语教学向全国普通高校推广，课程组负责人陈越分别与机械工业出版社和清华大学出版社合作，改编了Roger Pressman的经典教材《软件工程实践者之路》的中、英文版，调整压缩其内容的容量，使其更符合国内本科教学的教学大纲要求，也使得普通高等院校的学生也可以承受原版教材的阅读量。改编后的.中、英文版将于20xx年出版。
2、经过多年教学改革的积累，培养人才硕果累累：
20xx年：美国CIO Magazine以《Critical Application Development Blooms in China》为题首次报导道富公司与浙大的合作，而当时道富技术中心完全由我院师生组成，充分体现了软件工程教学团队大力推进实践教育与教育国际化带来的影响，学生能力与成果得到国际性认同。
道富技术中心发展至今已达800人规模，自20xx年至今，有超过400位浙大计算机学院和软件学院的学生加入道富技术中心，平均每年招收的学生超过50人。所有这些学生在学期间均修学了必修课程“软件工程”，掌握了软件工程的概念、原理和方法。特别是实践教学活动 —— 由于课程练习项目提炼于道富技术中心的实际项目，具有很强的实战性，通过这样的训练，学生也基本掌握了真实软件开发项目的流程和管理要求。学生进入技术中心后，能很快适应实际项目的软件工程规范要求，充分运用软件工程方法和技术，在全球化软件开发实践中表现了扎实的软件工程理论基础和优秀的工程实践能力。400人中，其中超过50人已成长为优秀的项目经理，能独立面对国外客户，独立管理软件开发项目，协调管理几十人规模的项目组；另外有近20xx年5月获得了该项赛事举办以来的第一个月赛满分。20xx年黄宁海（计算机学院20xx年来连续被世界顶级商业媒体《商业周刊》和美国《计算机世界》作为头版人物报导的TopCoder公司中国技术副总裁吴嘉之（竺可桢学院20xx年45场竞赛中赢了39场, 其出色表现在全球范围内引起了业界关注，《商业周刊》报导认为像吴嘉之这样的天才学生令全世界重新评判中国的软件产业能力。
3、本课程目前存在的不足
（1）对照建设精品课程的要求，在网上交互性强的多媒体教学课件建设方面，尚待进一步提高；
（2）如何在开展研究型教学、提高学生的实践能力和创新能力的同时，又要保证不增加学生的学习负担是需要进一步探讨的问题；
（3）需要进一步理顺本课程与计算机专业和软件工程专业中其它专业基础课和专业课程间的关系，为软件工程方向课程群的一体化建设提供强有力的支持。
