Difficulties, like a stone in my path, I must exert all my strength to keep going. However, because the road is different, the difficulty is different. My life will be filled with many obstacles, but these difficulties will not let me give in, but let me learn how to overcome difficulties.

When I was seven years old, I was very timid. In the evening, I must be accompanied by my mother to go to sleep in my room and sleep peacefully under my mothers escort. My mother gave me a way to overcome this difficulty.

That day, my mother said to me, "you have grown up and should be able to sleep on your own."

I said, "its dark at night, how terrible it is! Maybe there will be a ghost that pops up and grabs me. At that time, you would lose such a beautiful daughter." My mother felt my hair and smiled and said, "silly daughter, there is nothing in this world. Believe in yourself, you can sleep on your own, you are no small." I decided to sleep.

At night, my mother said to me, "Ive taught you a very effective way to count. You can fall asleep from a count to a hundred." I was dubious about my mothers words. Can I sleep on my own? I decided to give it a try. The light was so dark in the room that I was so frightened that I thought of what my mother had said to me: "you have grown up." I thought of this, and suddenly became brave. After a while I fell asleep.

Difficult, no big deal, just go brave face to overcome, can get this block of stone successful throw far away.

Growth, so that everything becomes taken by surprise, I stood clear that, called the threshold, while the pure juvenile, adult side of the vicissitudes of life, some at a loss and what to do, I know that when their children have gone through the aryl when the grass to meet the many people I write about the so-called "rainy season."

The epic life opened a new chapter.

Growing, when we began to pure self-integration into the alien society, growing pains and pressures will not become free in early. And our lives in the constant subject of annoyance to overcome and resolve in one day change the world, the growth of stereotypes.

Growth, the most desire is that with people, the most trouble is to get along with others. When I entered this class, an unfamiliar environment for I am depressed, terrified. And High, in my doubt came to me ... ...

Many nights, I dreamed of and one of the students had a wonderful time spent together. More thoughts, the more his heart is closer lock. Thus, isolation and loneliness, like a thief just like the volatility. To get up that morning, the dizziness. Roommate to see me look bad, with concern, said: "Never, right?" I shook his head, they see nothing, I said, no longer speak. But I can see their eyes for a long time in good faith and fraternity. Later, the headache was not a person to leave the teacher, went to the clinic, the doctor said that in a cold,吊针fight. Looked at the syrup bottle in a drop into the my body, I feel very sad.

Looking at the road outside the yellow lights, helplessness and loneliness of the body I occupy. Suddenly recall a time when illness, friends of the deep feeling anxious face, and concern about the words, but it all seems more and more distant from me, and all are increasingly blurred.

I do not know how long after, a sudden I can not help but the wind caught pitched battle. Then, I see a Blur full Zhang's face, that they, my friends room. They seem to have the face of the winds because the wind has become clear, Smart.

I am full of psychological warmth. I know that in my heart the moment before locking the door, and their greetings and laughter as warm.

Now, I found their advantages: some humorous, some wisdom, it was moderate, it was good, but more importantly, I found that this new focus in the same unity, and fraternity.

Now I'm re-learned how to exchange, learn how to communicate, more importantly, learned how to grow.

Met with high non-butterfly wings, butterfly seen just dance, but we can not ex Meiyan forget the origin of the butterfly. The suffering there is no hard and painful struggle and waiting, how can a shell at the time of amazing wings?

Growth is the pain in the United States, but also the well-being.

1、text me!

2、acronyms

oic- oh i see.

brb - be right back

bfn - bye for now

lol - laughing out loud

asap - as soon as possible

btw - by the way

fyi - for your information

jk - just kidding

ttyl - talk to you later

Well, its almost 20xx and I want to begin by wishing everybody in Britain a very happy NewYear.

For the Green Party, were looking forward with optimism, confidence and determination. 20xx was a huge year for us. We saw our membership more than triple. We saw millionvotes in the General Election, more than four times more votes than weve ever won before. Wesaw the return of Caroline Lucas as our brilliant Green MP.

So 20xx – this is the year in which we need to turn the Green surge into Green votes andthats what were determined to do. What we need to do is, up and down the country, providepeople with the real alternative. And that is what we are doing.

Because so many people, up and down the country, when we look at the local council electionsthat are coming up, are facing local government thats totally, or almost, a one-party are finding that theyre not having the tough questions asked. The local council isntgetting the scrutiny it needs.

So, sure, local councils are suffering enormously under the governments hideous program ofausterity, but we should always be asking: Can they do better? Can they look after particularlythe more vulnerable in their community better? Can they do a better job with their localenvironment?

So, in the Council elections, were looking to really grow our number of Green councillors acrossEngland and Wales.

And then weve got the assembly elections in Wales and in London. And these are the chancewhere we can significantly grow our representation, win our first assembly members in Wales inwhat are fair proportional elections, in which people can be sure that their vote counts. If youvote for what you believe in, you can get it.

And of course, our sister party up in Scotland is looking forward with real confidence andenthusiasm to the Scottish Parliament elections there.

What we want, one of the things we need to be getting out of 20xx, is the same kind ofelections, fair proportional elections all around the county, particularly to Westminster and ofcourse getting rid of our un-elected House of Lords.

It was in 1918 when women got the vote. That was the last time we saw significant reform inthe Westminster Parliament.

Now, it really is time for us to think again, look again, plan again, and get real change in ourdemocracy. To get to a situation where people know that their vote counts, they dont have tomake complicated calculations about what other people are going to vote, they can simplyvote for what they want and get it.

Thats what I would urge everyone to make a resolution for 20xx. To do your bit towardselectoral reform. It is, after all, our human right to have a fair democracy that reflects ourpolitical will. And of course, in 20xx, were also going to have to be defending our human Rights Act is under attack from our government and we need to stand up and defendit.

So a new year, new possibilities. Weve got a government that doesnt have a mandate for thehideous austerity that its imposing, for the disastrous environmental policies, for its threatsto our human rights.

This government only won the support of 24% of eligible voters. Thats no kind of mandate.

Lets pledge in 20xx to ensure that we make real progress toward the real change we need, apolitical system that works for the common good, not just for the few of the richest and apolitical system that delivers a society where were living within our environmental limits.

And after all, at the end of the day, thats not politics, its physics. We have to do it. We have tohave real change in Britain.

Mr. Speaker, members of the 77th Congress:

I address you, the members of this new Congress, at a moment unprecedented in the history of the union. I use the word “unprecedented” because at no previous time has American security been as seriously threatened from without as it is today.

Since the permanent formation of our government under the Constitution in 1789, most of the periods of crisis in our history have related to our domestic affairs. And, fortunately, only one of these-the four-year war between the States-ever threatened our national unity. Today, thank God, 130,000,000 Americans in forty-eight States have forgotten points of the compass in our national unity.

It is true that prior to 1914 the United States often has been disturbed by events in other continents. We have even engaged in two wars with European nations and in a number of undeclared wars in the West Indies, in the Mediterranean and in the Pacific, for the maintenance of American rights and for the Principles of peaceful commerce. But in no case has a serious threat been raised against our national safety or our continued independence.

What I seek to convey is the historic truth that the United States as a nation has at all times maintained opposition-clear, definite opposition-to any attempt to lock us in behind an ancient Chinese wall while the procession of civilization went past. Today, thinking of our children and of their children, we oppose enforced isolation for ourselves or for any other part of the Americas.

That determination of ours, extending over all these years, was proved, for example, in the early days during the quarter century of wars following the French Revolution. While the Napoleonic struggle did threaten interests of the United States because of the French foothold in the West Indies and in Louisiana, and while we engaged in the War of 1812 to vindicate our right to peaceful trade, it is nevertheless clear that neither France nor Great Britain nor any other nation was aiming at domination of the whole world.

And in like fashion, from 1815 to 1914-ninety-nine years-no single war in Europe or in Asia constituted a real threat against our future or against the future of any other American nation.

Except in the Maximilian interlude in Mexico, no foreign power sought to establish itself in this hemisphere. And friendly strength; it is still a friendly strength.

Even when the World War broke out in 1914 it seemed to contain only small threat of danger to our own American future. But as time went on, as we remember, the American people began to visualize what the downfall of democratic nations might mean to our own democracy.

We need not overemphasize imperfections in the peace of Versailles. We need not harp on failure of the democracies to deal with problems of world reconstruction. We should remember that the peace of 1919 was far less unjust than the kind of pacification which began even before Munich, and which is being carried on under the new order of tyranny that seeks to spread over every continent today.

The American people have unalterably set their faces against that tyranny.

I suppose that every realist knows that the democratic way of life is at this moment being directly assailed in every part of the world-assailed either by arms or by secret spreading of poisonous propaganda by those who seek to destroy unity and promote discord in nations that are still at peace.

During sixteen long months this assault has blotted out the whole pattern of democratic life in an appalling number of independent nations, great and small. And the assailants are still on the march, threatening other nations, great and small.

Therefore, as your President, performing my constitutional duty to “give to the Congress information of the state of the union,” I find it unhappily necessary to report that the future and the safety of our country and of our democracy are overwhelmingly involved in events far beyond our borders.

Armed defense of democratic existence is now being gallantly waged in four continents. If that defense fails, all the population and all the resources of Europe and Asia, Africa and Australia will be dominated by conquerors. And let us remember that the total of those populations in those four continents, the total of those populations and their resources greatly exceeds the sum total of the population and the resources of the whole of the Western Hemisphere-yes, many times over.

In times like these it is immature- and, incidentally, untrue-for anybody to brag that an unprepared America, single-handed and with one hand tied behind its back, can hold off the whole world.

No realistic American can expect from a dictator’s peace international generosity, or return of true independence, or world disarmament, or freedom of expression, or freedom of religion-or even good business. Such a peace would bring no security for us or for our neighbors. Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

first i'd like you to think about the question: do you become a teacher by chance? that's what happened to me! english was my favorite subject when i was a middle school student. i felt so cool when i won the first prize of nepcs in 1997. after that everyone said to me:“hey, why not become an english teacher?” so i did!actually, i liked teaching very soon. i like teaching and learning with the children. sometimes they are my students; sometimes they are my younger brothers or sisters. sometimes they are even my fans because i can sing many pop songs in the class! but i have to say: to be an english teacher is not easy. why? teacher-centered controls, threats make no sense to students now! no one can be forced to learn without a desire to learn! i am so eager to find out a good way. but what are they? nowadays, the use of tasks is commonplace. but i as well as other teachers is wondering: my syllabus is based on an old-fashioned textbook and is also exam-driven. how do i structure lessons by using tasks? should i tell my students: “today your task is to listen to me" or “your task is to finish part a on page 5".everything is unchanged, isn't it?what makes task? a unit of grammar? no! a collection of lexical items? no! after a long time study, i begin to know that task is a means of learning the language by its real use! now, i'd like to give an actual example for you. that is unit 5 from book 3 i had this lesson in the internet-equipped classroom. each student has a computer .the target language includes shall, let's do, writing competition and on-_line exercise are the pre-tasks. next, three during-tasks. task 1:group-work. discuss a plan about where to go during the national day, practise the target language: shall. task 2. go to a teenager website to make foreign pen friends by the e-mail. task 3: write a letter to the students of our school to call on them to donate to project of hope the post task comes last, ss read english news about wangpeng who lost his life in a hostage crisis in pakistan, and write to annan the head to call for peace as you see, in this class, task-based method creates a student-centered learning environment and information technology plays an important should try to be as flexible as possible in choosing the teaching , dear friends, i would like you to think about our own task. what makes a good english teacher? just years of little sleep, over-work? just like the candle that burns out to help others? no! we should develop ourselves, both professionally and personally. most importantly, we should love our students. in my heart, my students are the most powerful striving for me to work harder. i love my students! i love teaching!before finishing my speech, i would like to say: to be an english teacher is the best choice in my life. i shall do all i can to be a good english teacher!that's all. thanks for your attention!

Skill comes from practice

During the Northern Song Dynasty, there was a skilled archer. One day he drew a big crowd while he was practicing on the drill ground. He shot so accurately that the on-lookers cheered with excitement. He became very proud of his skill. But among the crowd an old oil peddler only nodded his head indifferently. This hurt his Pride.

“Can you do this?” he asked the old oil peddler. “No, I can’t.”

“What do you think of my skill?”

“Just OK, but nothing special. You’ve gained your accuracy from persistent practice. That’s all.”

“What can you do, then?” the old man said nothing. He put a gourd bottle on the ground and covered its mouth with a copper coin. He then scooped out a ladle of oil from his big jar, held it high and began to fill the bottle.

Now, a thread of oil came down from the ladle into the bottle just through the hole of the coin. Everybody looking on watched with amazement. But the old man said, “This is nothing special, I can do this because I have practiced it a lot.” And with these words, he left.

Later, people use this phrase to mean “Practice makes perfect”.

"Every night in my dreams, I see you. I feel you, that is how I know you go on, far across the distance and spaces between us. You have come to show you go on…"

What a nice song the radio is broadcasting! You're right, it's the song named "My Heart Will Go On"。 It was sung by the Canadian singing star Celine Dion for the film Titanic. Titanic is such a wonderful film. It received my prizes. I was once moved to tears by it.

It's a film about how the ship Titanic sank into the sea. It is very exciting. But I was more interested in the stars of the film, Jack and Rose's story. We can learn some deeper things from it.

After the ship hit an iceberg and sank into the sea. Jack and Rose, and many other people fell into the cold sea water. As the weather was getting colder and colder, they were stepping into death. Jack still asked Rose to promise him not to give up the hope of life. At last, Jack was dead, but Rose had a narrow escape, because she listened to Jack and didn't give up.

"Really? It seems so hard to believe," you may think.

Maybe once there were many successes just behind you, and if you hadn't given up, you would catch them easily. But you lost them, because you didn't hold on.

So never give up, even though there are many more difficult things waiting for you. Just face them heroically, and you will surely win.

Harry S.

Truman: The Truman Doctrine , , Members of the Congress of the United States: The gravity of the situation which confronts the world today necessitates my appearance before a joint session of the Congress.

The foreign policy and the national security of this country are involved.

One aspect of the present situation, which I present to you at this time for your consideration and decision, concerns Greece and Turkey.

The United States has received from the Greek Government an urgent appeal for financial and economic assistance.

Preliminary reports from the American Economic Mission now in Greece and reports from the American Ambassador in Greece corroborate the statement of the Greek Government that assistance is imperative if Greece is to survive as a free nation.

I do not believe that the American people and the Congress wish to turn a deaf ear to the appeal of the Greek Government.

Greece is not a rich country.

Lack of sufficient natural resources has always forced the Greek people to work hard to make both ends meet.

Since 1940, this industrious, peace loving country has suffered invasion, four years of cruel enemy occupation, and bitter internal strife.

When forces of liberation entered Greece they found that the retreating Germans had destroyed virtually all the railways, roads, port facilities, communications, and merchant marine.

More than a thousand villages had been burned.

Eighty-five per cent of the children were tubercular.

Livestock, poultry, and draft animals had almost disappeared.

Inflation had wiped out practically all savings.

As a result of these tragic conditions, a militant minority, exploiting human want and misery, was able to create political chaos which, until now, has made economic recovery impossible.

Greece is today without funds to finance the importation of those goods which are essential to bare subsistence.

Under these circumstances, the people of Greece cannot make progress in solving their problems of reconstruction.

Greece is in desperate need of financial and economic assistance to enable it to resume purchases of food, clothing, fuel, and seeds.

These are indispensable for the subsistence of its people and are obtainable only from abroad.

Greece must have help to import the goods necessary to restore internal order and security, so essential for economic and political recovery.

The Greek Government has also asked for the assistance of experienced American administrators, economists, and technicians to insure that the financial and other aid given to Greece shall be used effectively in creating a stable and self-sustaining economy and in improving its public administration.

how do you master your youth?youthyouth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshne; it is the freshneof the deep springs of life .youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. ts often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years. we grow old by deserting our wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. worry, fear, self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to 60 of 16, there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing cldlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wirelestation: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .when the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at you!
